Eros: One of the four words in Ancient Greek which can be rendered into English as “love”. Eros refers to “intimate love” or romantic love. The term erotic is derived from eros.

Et Alia: And others; used of things; gender neutral plural

Eros Et Alia is dedicated to erotic speculative fiction, or fiction about erotic love with the Other, or Others, who may be of any gender, or none.

About Eros Et Alia

Classic speculative fiction explores relationships between humans and others, be the others vampires, shape-shifters, aliens, or other non-human partners. Erotic fiction explores the nature of sexuality with graphic elements that enhance the reader's reaction to the work. The intersection of erotic fiction with speculative fiction allows writers to examine gender and sexual diversity themes to their fullest by creating scenes of intimacy and erotic exploration.

We're interested in works that celebrate eros in its many forms, from classic novels that set the bar for exquisite prose in the depiction of sexual activities to new works by contemporary authors.

This site is owned by Margaret Speaker Yuan. She works in the financial services industry where she balances dull, dry, uncreative spreadsheets with daydreams of paranormal characters. A love of stories with lots of sex scenes inspired her to write her first erotic story, published in the anthology, Shape Shifters: Coming Together. You'll have to guess which story is hers. It's written under a pseudonym.

In addition, Margaret's interest in erotic speculative fiction stems from a speculative work in progress that concerns sexuality in people who can morph, at will, from one gender to another.
